PRODUCTION DESIGN As a Production Designer I pull from my interior design and property staging experience to create a realistic background on set. While earning my degree in Interior Design I studied the history of design in great depth. Period styles, architecture, materials, colors and lighting are all very important elements to know and understand as a Production Designer. My attention to detail and resourcing skills are appreciated in all these roles. I take my fellow crew members reputation and trust seriously by designing a great set and backdrop that is appropriate for the time period and genre. By owning and operating my own interior design business for 20 + years I have all the skills needed to head an art department such as excellent client communication, strict budget management as well as creating accurate timelines for production crews to follow with ease.
PROPS I love to make props and work within the prop department. I have an extensive kit which includes; several power/non power tools along with materials and objects that come in handy when problem solving on set. I have made props and been hired to manage the prop department for various commercials, TV sets, film sets and theater productions.
CLIENTS I have had great opportunities to work with a broad range of clients such as NBC, Bravo TV, Universal Studios, The Sundance Channel, NY1 and more. I have also set decorated for Mind Valley Masterclasses, the Healthcare sector and multiple corporate media productions. I am proud to say I was the Art Director and hands-on Set Decorator of the 2020 Best Short Film winner at The Big Apple Film Festival named Bathroom on Drake which was a 70's period comedy starring Jerry Springer.
